Breakfast Bonus: Breakfast Sponsor APEX Benefits: Mark Goodpaster (3 minutes)-Mark works with businesses to help them find the best solutions/plans for their health insurance. He works with businesses that have 50+ employees but specializes in businesses with 100+ employees.

Presentation of last month’s Minutes: Erin Ailstock-approved as submitted.

Treasurer Report: Kat Blankenbaker- May Totals: revenue in: $6,952.60, expenses: $2,149.83. Month end balance (May)-$81,156.29

School Report: Dr. Greg Hinshaw-193 students graduated out of these, 13 students received 30 college credit hours. Construction continues and the high school roof is going to be replaced hopefully this fall. The Yorktown Tigers Spring sports brought home 4 Sectional titles. If anyone is interested in sponsoring, volunteering, or running in the Four for the Fourth race, let Dr. Hinshaw know.

Town Report: Chase Bruton/Erin Hurley-Isanogel is currently getting repaved. The new basketball court at Morrow’s Meadow is completed. They will have a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new court when Chase gets back. The new apartment complex (on Kilgore) was approved at the town council meeting. It will feature 90 apartments and will be completed in 2026. At Monday, June 16th Town Council Meeting, Sgt Ryan Jaromin was recognized with the Medal of Bravery for his heroic actions when he responded to a residential house fire.

Program: Lucy Goodpaster-presents “Long-term Care Planning” (Includes Q&A)
Lucy spoke about the benefits and why you need Long-term Care Insurance. 70% of Americans age 65 or older will need extended care services. 40% of people turning age 65 will enter a nursing home during their lifetime. Lunch and Learn/ Shafer Leadership News: Ted Ward- The next Lunch and Learn will be on June 26th at Town Hall. The topic is “Alright stop, COLLABORATE, and listen”. It will be catered by Four Day Ray. Cost: members-$10 and non-members-$25. Must make a reservation online to attend! Ambassador news: Lena Reid-Picnic on the Green is on July 10th from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. There will be over 30 vendors, food truck, and lots of fun things for kids to do. All After Hour events are full but we have the August Membership Lunch available if any member would like to host.

Membership news: Marissa Earls-We have 133 current members; we have 20 new members year to date. Heritage of Yorktown will be hosting a grand opening on July 17th.

Civic Green Report: Kat Blankenbaker-Andrew Young will not be the featured performer at the Concert on the Green this Friday. Kat is working to get the spot filled.
