Todd Murray is president and CEO of Mursix Corporation. Mursix is a manufacturer of precision components for the automotive, appliance, alternative energy, electronics, security, and other markets that capitalizes on its core competencies in precision stamping of precious metals, CNC machining, and electrical/electronic assembly.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation named Mursix an “Indiana Company to Watch” (one of a class of 50 companies that were chosen from more than 420 nominated companies) in 2008, which was the inaugural year for the award.
In October of 2011, the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce awarded Mursix its coveted Community Impact Award. In June of 2014, Mursix was honored as one of three inaugural Touchstone Award winners by Conexus Indiana for its hands-on contributions to Indiana’s innovative Hire Technology high school advanced manufacturing and logistics curriculum.
Mursix Corporation was incorporated in 1990 when Steve and Irene Murray purchased Twoson Tool Company. Twoson was founded in 1945 in Fairmount, Ind., and moved to Muncie in 1954. In early 2011, Mursix moved into its new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Yorktown.
After attending Purdue University, Todd joined Mursix in the mid-1990s. After working in various positions, Todd was named president in 2002. Today, as CEO, he directs all of the company’s U.S. and overseas operations. He serves as chairman of the Muncie Manufacturing Alliance and as a member of the board of directors of the Indiana Automotive Council. He is the former vice chairman of the Delaware Advancement Corporation. Todd has also participated in Muncie’s “100 Men Who Cook” program for the past several years, benefiting local charities. Todd takes particular pride in the company’s role as a job creator in Delaware County, having grown employment from less than 30 employees in 1990 to more than 300 today.
